The full programme for 2026-27 is now here on the website and leaflets will be coming through your door during July 2026. Our next talk will be:
Tuesday 11 August – A Free Taster Talk – Dr Richard Hinchcliffe: The Life and Times of the Beach Boys. The Beach Boys were the only American band to rival the Beatles in the 60s. This is the story of their beginnings and psychedelic rites of passage, and the story of how pop music lost its innocence. This will be an informal talk, as much a social occasion as anything with a chance to meet the committee and other members and sign up for the season. Seating will be caberet style with a few nibbles to enjoy and a glass of something chilled.
We are always planning ahead, so please email us if you know of a good speaker who you think would fit with our aims: members@grangelecturesociety.org. We are keen to explore your ideas.
We are currently looking for someone to take on the role of Membership Secretary. Ability to use a simple spreadsheet would be important. This role has a flurry of activity around September and early October when membership is being taken. The rest of the year tasks are limited, structured and straight forward. Do contact us if you would be willing to help.
Looking forward to welcoming you soon. A big thank you to our committee of trustees who have put so much of their own time into making Grange Lecture Society a great success.
